On the move towards life: about COP25

Leaflet distributed on December 6th, 2019 against the COP25 summit, organized in Madrid by the government of Pedro Sánchez to avoid the international focus on the repression of the revolt in Chile. Here the .pdf [in Spanish] spread in the demonstration.

Against capital and its dance of the dead, we move towards life.

We are moving towards a cycle of struggles that is ever more intense and deep, ever more international, that has one and the same root: the need to defend ourselves as a species against a world that is running out.

This revolt has nothing to do with books, nor with educational plans, nor with advertising campaigns that appeal to citizen responsibility. It is not a revolt that turns to governments to require them a better behavior, a management of our misery a little more social, a little more green. It is a generalized rebellion for life, against a system that at the same time expels work and turns us into a surplus population, destroys at an exponential rate the biosphere to feed its machines and produce more commodities: money in order to generate money in order to generate much more money, no matter who gets hurt in the process.

This headlong rush of capital cannot be stopped by any State, because the State can only manage social relations that are rotting from the inside. Left and right don’t matter about it: Piñera and Sánchez work side by side to guarantee social peace. There they torture and murder our class comrades. Here, for the COP25 summit, they build a golden cage from which they make some duly domesticated birds singing.

But the bourgeoisie is bewildered.

The bourgeoisie is afraid.

The bourgeoisie is right.

From France to Hong Kong, from Haiti to Ecuador, from Iraq and Iran to Chile, a wave of struggles is crossing the planet, and it is only the beginning. We rise up against a world that subordinates all forms of life to the production of dead things. We rise up against a social system that feeds machines while starving us to death. It is the logic of capital that we are suffering as a species, but that we can only destroy as a class: the only response to the capitalist catastrophe is the international revolution against commodity and the State, for the human community, for life, towards life.

May they tremble with fear!
